About This Place

Located in the heart of Pismo Beach, Honeymoon Café offers a warm and inviting escape for anyone eager to indulge in a thoughtfully crafted breakfast and café experience. This charming local gem specializes in fresh, wholesome fare that celebrates both classic comfort and creative twists, making it a beloved spot for locals and travelers alike.

From the moment you step into Honeymoon Café, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that effortlessly balances cozy and vibrant. The friendly staff, such as Candy and Madison, add a personal touch that makes every visit feel like catching up with old friends. Their genuine hospitality, combined with a bright, fun outdoor seating area that welcomes pups, makes it the ideal place to relax and savor your meal.

The menu is a delightful parade of flavors and textures. Start your morning with the famous Breakfast Burrito or opt for the Cowboy Burrito to experience a hearty, savory blend that awakens your palate. For a lighter yet satisfying option, the Avocado Toast Vegan Style delivers creamy avocado atop perfectly toasted bread, enhanced by fresh arugula and vibrant sides like a seasonal fruit bowl. If you’re craving something sweet, their French Toast and French Onion Toast are caramelized to golden perfection, offering a crunchy exterior that gives way to a tender, fluffy center.

Those seeking unique and imaginative flavor combinations will adore dishes like the Carnitas Chilaquiles—an artful layering of spice and heartiness—or try the Sunrise Tacos and Thai Chicken Tacos, bursting with bright, fresh ingredients. The café’s attention to dietary preferences is noteworthy, with gluten-free options that have delighted patrons like Jennifer Farrell’s husband, and customizable smoothies that impress health-conscious customers such as KC SB.

To accompany your culinary adventure, the café’s beverage selection is equally inspired. The “Cup of Love” series features lattes infused with housemade syrups—try the Lavender Latte, an ethereal blend of steamed mylk, lavender, and bold espresso, or indulge in the West Coast Oat Latte which marries peanut butter and maple syrup in a rich, velvety cup. These drinks are not simply beverages; they are experiences that warm and invigorate simultaneously.

What truly sets Honeymoon Café apart is its commitment to freshness and quality. As Nicole Ylinen noted from her visits, the food “tasted the difference” with clean, organic ingredients that elevate each dish beyond expectations. The vibrant flavors aren’t just about sustenance—they invite you to savor every bite and sip, turning a simple meal into an uplifting ritual.

Whether you’re stopping by for a quick breakfast quesadilla, a comforting bowl, or a leisurely coffee and conversation, Honeymoon Café stands as a testament to how passion, quality, and community combine to create something truly special in Pismo Beach. It’s a place that beckons you back, meal after meal, to create memorable mornings infused with great taste and genuine warmth.

Always a great consistent spot! Fresh food, super friendly service and fun outdoor dog friendly seating! Had the goat cheese and Denver omelets today... wish they sold their strawberry jam!

This place is absolutely wonderful! It’s such a charming little spot with great vibes all around. Candy, the lovely lady who took our order, was super friendly and made us feel right at home. My granddaughters had a blast he! The avocado toast and quesadilla were incredibly tasty. We’ll definitely be coming back whenever we're in town.

Stopped at Honeymoon Café twice during our trip to Pismo and was so impressed both times! The food was incredibly fresh, clean, and full of flavor. I'm always on the lookout for organic, high-quality options when traveling and this spot delivered. You can really taste the difference in the ingredients. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something wholesome and delicious. (Photo for reference—SO good!)

Super charming spot! For me it was a must stop because I start off my days with a green smoothie, and the Honeymoon Cafe has a great smoothie menu (and are willing to make custom orders, which is what I typically want). Madison was the sweet young lady who took my order, and she is quite the artist as well and has very cute postcards of the Honeymoon Cafe that are for sale. Whether you are on your honeymoon or not, this spot is full of love

The Honeymoon Cafe is a cool, funky little joint. The menu is creative and on the healthier side. The breakfast tacos were super good, but the turkey burger was a bit dry and over salted. I also had a vanilla match latte and was delicious. I’ll have to try more on the menu, to give it 5 star.
